Tabletop decor is the easiest way to play with your style. You can constantly move things around, test out bolder pieces or colors, & keep things fresh. Today I’m showing you some of my favorite tabletop decor pieces for your entryway table, console table, side tables, nightstands, dining tables, and bookshelves.
Some of the same pieces I use across different tabletops are trays, bowls, and coffee table books. I love how I can use each of these pieces to create layers & mix textures. By using these items as a base, I can build from there & create depth and interest.
Here are some of my tips for styling & coordinating tabletop decor:
1.) Group in 3’s, unless its one oversized vase or piece. If you think it can stand alone, it probably can!Â
2.) Layer items. But chain links or faux artichokes inside bowls and trays. Stack smaller vases in front of taller ones! Create depth instead of just having one little piece on your mantle.
3.) Add height! Use coffee table books under a lamp or a decorative object. I wouldn’t use more than 3 books at a time, but you can really use them under anything!Â
4.) Have fun with it and take off the pressure. When I style a surface I usually am walking by and tweaking several times before I love it. You’ll know when its done!Â
