Out of all the holidays we celebrate, I think Valentines Day is one of my favorites! I love having an excuse to decorate my otherwise pretty neutral home with pink & red pillows, vases, garland, & plates for my dining room table. Valentines Day also has the best candy in the entire world (who’s with me?!).
When decorating my mantle I like to think about what holidays are coming up and with that, what colors or themes I should be considering. I like to keep my decor pretty simple, however, I enjoy switching out mirrors, candles, flowers, and other accents to keep things interesting. Towards the middle of January I had my sights set on Valentines day (and the candy, am I right!) and I began to scour Target & Homegoods for pretty pink decor.
I found the tall pink vase at Target & paired it with some red bud stems that I already had. The vase with the stems adds interest & texture and could definitely be left up long past Valentines day. The mirror & candlesticks add some romantic charm (which I love!) & gives a nice contrast to my all white stone fireplace. The red, white, and pink garland adds a fun twist & probably will be taken down the end of February.
Adding an art print, a second vase, or a unique decor piece would also look amazing! I like to keep things simple, but interesting, & I think this look achieves that.
